from SF via ferry: Mare Island terminal to start 0.2 miles, Vallejo terminal (more frequent) to start 1.1 miles

Very scenic and historic, virgin trail, Eagle 6+, Turkey 5+ Walker 3+.  One section posted no dogs but locals ignore; stroller option for walkers. Mostly trail, great views, especially at elevation, good shiggy (gators optional).
